Your witch, Rachel Teferet (Xe/They)
“I had such a wonderful reading with Rachel. I really appreciated that they went where the cards and I needed to go. We started with my question and three cards, but it evolved into a nine-card spread.
“By the end, I felt like a weight had been lifted and I had a better idea how to move forward on the next step in my life.
“They are intuitive and kind and very receptive. I highly recommend getting a reading with Rachel!”
—Eowyn
“My tarot reading with Rachel was revelatory, like watching the ripples in a pond turn still—I could see more clearly what had been under the surface all along.
“Rachel created a safe and queer-affirming space where I felt I could bring my whole self to our session.
“I would recommend their practice to anyone looking for insight through tarot that goes deep on the meaning of the cards and holds space for what you experience while you’re there.”
—Casey

Hi! I’m a Hecatean witch, writer, artist, herbalist, and activist. Holding magic space for magical people is one of my greatest delights in life.
I’ve been practicing energy channeling work since 2008, and have done a year-long training program and multiple intensives in Somatic Awakening, a Christ-consciousness healing modality where I’ve learned to hold deep, sacred space for clients. I’m currently a student of Katie Sutton’s energy channeling New Earth school, and since 2021, have been a longtime and founding member of Amanda Yates Garcia’s Mystery Cult. Green witchcraft is my love language: I’ve clocked in 120+ hours of herbalism studies with masters including Kathi Keville, and worked for many years in a cute-y witchy apothecary in Northern California, where Candis Cantin’s herbal tarot decked sparked a lifelong adventure with tarot beginning in 2016. In 2016, I was also adopted into an eclectic witchcraft family by my chosen auntie, who’s the most badass witch I know, and who taught me to work magic according to the highest standards of integrity and care.
When my midlife transits hit, I came home to Hecate, Mother of Witches, though I still practice with and worship a plethora of Goddexxes, angels, guides, nature spirits, animal familiars, and aligned spirit ancestors. If you want to get the full dish, check out my Substack article, “How did this Orthodox Jew become a Hecatean Witch?”
About the Decks
I use BIPOC and queer-friendly tarot cards, including…
The Fyodor Pavlov Tarot, by the amazing queer artist Fyodor Pavlov! This gender-expansive and queer-positive deck with diverse representation.
The Modern Witch Tarot by Lisa Sterle, which has only female and non-binary people. Queer and BIPOC representing.
The Dark Goddess Tarot by Ellen Lorenzi-Prince has a powerful goddess on every card that gives surprising insights and twists on the traditional tarot.
These days, clients have a choice of doing a classic reading using just the Modern Witch Tarot deck, OR we can get wild and use a triple tarot card deck that includes Modern Witch, The Fyodor Pavlov Tarot, and the Dark Goddess Deck all in one!
About Online Sessions
I have a special camera mount so while we’re on Zoom, you also have a clear view of all the cards I pull for you in real time. Basically, I Zoom in from my computer and my phone at the same time so you can see me and the cards for a full experience. Plus, I like to write your questions on post-its so you can easily screenshot your reading and remember which cards went with each question! #TarotLifeHacks
A typical session setup: Candle, mugwort smudge bundle, post-its, and tarot cards. Who could ask for anything more?
